    Improving repairs and maintenance

Our consultation with you about changing the service

    Background
You have told us in the STAR satisfaction survey that improving repairs and maintenance is your top priority. We have begun to do this with the introduction of mobile technology. This has improved our communication with you about appointments and we are now doing 100 more repair jobs per week. We will continue to introduce new parts of the system over the coming weeks. However, we know that we can do more to improve the service to you.

    The change we are proposing
We are planning to make our repairs service its own standalone company that is still Council-owned and under the direction of Cornwall Housing and is able to better focus on excellent repairs service with better resources. Although we’re confident that this is the right way forward, we haven’t finalised the decision/plans. We want to hear from you about what you think are the things that the company should work on first to improve the service for you.
