Permanent Park and Ride - Resident only parking

I believe a permanent Park and Ride should be set up nearer to our Airport, directed from the A30 to reduce traffic and the parking in the town. There is lots of unused land and tarmac areas out near St.Mawgan. With a regular bus service as they do in Truro, St.Ives even Falmouth I believe running every 15 minutes. Run by the Newquay Council this could provide a income so any car-parks in the town centre could either be used as land to build affordable properties by, housing associations who are always looking for land to develop or residential only…

Return of the tram

My idea combines one already put forward (to create a larger park and ride on the outskirts of town) and to also bring back a tram. This could run from right out Quintrell way , through town and possibly on to Fistral (maybe even a circuit if hills can be managed). I have no idea of how practical the build would be, but benefits would be to reduce traffic in the town, provide an easy (hopefully fairly cheap) means of transport for residents and visitors alike and provide a bit of fun.
