Permanent Park and Ride - Resident only parking

I believe a permanent Park and Ride should be set up nearer to our Airport, directed from the A30 to reduce traffic and the parking in the town. There is lots of unused land and tarmac areas out near St.Mawgan. With a regular bus service as they do in Truro, St.Ives even Falmouth I believe running every 15 minutes. Run by the Newquay Council this could provide a income so any car-parks in the town centre could either be used as land to build affordable properties by, housing associations who are always looking for land to develop or residential only. At the last poll there was 22,000 permanent residents in Newquay, which could be given resident stickers per household or wristbands and also run by the council.

Many years ago there was money from the European social Fund or Duke of Cornwall Foundation was given to Newquay or Cornwall. Where has that gone? Also the Enterprise Zone near St.Mawgan could be land where a stadium could be built that now been put on the 'back burner'. Near the airport would not only create Jobs but would bring more visitors to the town, if was an Olympic or Commonwealth size stadium.

'CORNWALL UNITED' is an idea I had a many years ago, where all sports Club almagamate under one roof if are representing Cornwall in their sports. Things like the 'Special Olympics' some of local disabled swimmers were in that, Rowing all need funding and or sponsorship to attend. If was created in the Enterprise Zone there would be funding to do that as Public Limited Company or Community Interest Company, for tax purposes but also that the residents or large investors world-wide could buy shares in the company. For e.g a Team colour when representing Cornwall could be Black and Gold, the colours of The Lochcarron Tartan all have meaning and purpose.

Also in The Treviglas Close area where I live there is a real safeguarding issue between the two schools of Columb Minor. There is a footpath that runs down to the village, bushes have become overgrown and there is also lack of street lighting and a police patrol or presence. My house is set apart from the rest of the street with only one other attached to my property. At night as live alone it is a very dark corner, I have offered to donate some of my plants that have grown huge in my garden, as can't see what is going on behind them but I feel children and young or vulnerable people are not safe at times either.
