Bringing the community together

I would love to see proper investment in an arts and culture centre for Newquay incorporating the museum in a light, fully accessible building in the heart of the town centre. This would offer a state of the art, interactive exhibition space to engage residents and visitors with the story of Newquay, particularly celebrating its Cornish maretime history and surfing culture which makes it unique. It would be home to our historical artefact collection. It would also provide flexible exhibition, education, workshop and events space and cafe for meet-ups and groups to help bring people together and combat loneliness. The possibilities are vast. It could champion a plastic-free, sustainable ethos in keeping with protecting and valuing our ocean culture and identity.

Great idea, would be a brill place for families on holiday to visit particularly when it's not beach weather. If there needed to be a charge it would be good if it could be a nominal charge to make it more accessible to families on a budget. Love the idea of making it plastic free.
