Youth Hubs help young people aged 16 to 24 take their next step. They help young people into education, employment, or training. They bring together a range of support services in one place, making it easier for young people to access the help they need.
The hubs bring together services from Cornwall Council, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), training providers, employers, and local support organisations. This means young people can get the support they need in one place.
The aim is to help young people make informed choices about their future and move into work, training, or further learning.
Young people can take part in events, workshops, and employer-led sessions. These activities help them build confidence and develop skills. They also provide an opportunity to explore local education, training, and employment opportunities.
Support available through the hubs includes:
Careers advice and guidance
Help with CVs, applications, and interviews
Information about apprenticeships, training, and further education
Employability and work-readiness support
Confidence-building and personal development
Signposting to specialist services for additional support
Youth Hubs are not drop-in services. They are for young people aged 16 to 24 who claim Universal Credit. Access is by referral only, and all young people must be referred by their Job Coach. Young people who do not claim Universal Credit can get support through the Youth Engagement Project (YEP) referral process. Please visit: Youth Engagement Referral Page.
Please note YEP referrals are currently closed and will reopen Monday 24 August.
Whether a young person needs help with learning, work, or planning their future, Youth Hubs can help.
