  • As an Educational Psychology Service, we review and reflect on our work and processes to ensure that we are offering the best service that we can. We understand that you and your family have recently worked with an Educational Psychologist as part of your child's Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA).  We would welcome your views on your contact with the Educational Psychologist and the report that they wrote.

We acknowledge and understand that there are sometimes significant delays between an EHCNA being agreed and an Educational Psychologist becoming involved.  We apologise for this and are continuing to work to address this in the longer term. If you have further comments or queries in relation to this or any other aspect of the process then please use the free text box at the end of the survey to add your views.  Alternatively, there is an email address included at the end of the survey if you wish to contact us directly, and this will enable us to contact you if that is helpful.

Thank you very much for your time.

A bit of background about Cornwall Educational Psychology Service...

We are based within Cornwall Council and operate across Cornwall, working with children, families, schools and other professionals. We work with children from birth to age 25 years. Educational Psychologists have a significant statutory role in the Education, Health and Care needs assessment process, but alongside this we work closely with schools to help them identify children's strengths and needs and the best ways of supporting their learners. We also deliver training on a range of topics from learning-based topics, to supporting social interaction and emotional well-being, as well as helping school senior leadership teams think strategically at a systemic level. Some members of the service have specialist roles, such as managing the Autism in Schools team, leading on our bereavement offer alongside Penhaligon's friends and leading on the Mindfulness Schools project. Our broad knowledge base means we are well placed to support on a range of topics connected to the children and families who may be accessing your library setting.
