  • Thank you for participating in our Fal and Helford Special Area of Conservation (SAC) Recreational Survey 2024. Your insights are crucial for enhancing our engagement and understanding of the Fal and Helford SAC area. 


    This survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete, as a thank you for participating, there will be the opportunity to provide your email address which will then be entered into a draw to win a voucher for two, for a 'Bay Discovery' with Marine Discovery, in Penzance, Cornwall's only wildlife operator under sail. We will be giving away up to 6 vouchers for this experience!

    Why is my data being collected?

    Cornwall Council are undertaking this survey about the ways in which individuals recreationally make use of the Fal and Helford SAC area throughout the year. The data and insights collected from the survey will be assessed by authorised staff who will use them to create a report about ways in which the Fal and Helford SAC area is used. This will inform future decisions about the area, help reduce impacts on marine life and focus on additional strategies if necessary, as well as re checking boundaries and buffer zones.  

     

    What will you do with my data?

    Once the survey has closed, your data will be held within Cornwall Council’s secure network and premises for up to 2 years. Where we ask you to supply contact information on this form, we will only make access to this data available to authorised members of staff who are required to process it for the purposes outlined in this privacy notice. 

    All data and answers collected through this survey will be anonymous.

    Data entered into this survey will be used to create insights for a report. If you would like to opt out of your data being shared in this way please click the 'No' button on question 1.

    What are my data rights?

    Your personal information belongs to you and you have the right to:

    • be informed of how we will process it
    • request a copy of what we hold about you and in commonly used electronic format if you wish (if you provided this to us electronically for automated processing, we will return it in the same way)
    • have it amended if it’s incorrect or incomplete
    • have it deleted (where we do not have a legal requirement to retain it)
    • withdraw your consent if you no longer wish us to process
    • restrict how we process it
    • object to us using it for marketing or research purposes
    • object to us using it in relation to a legal task or in the exercise of an official authority
    • request that a person reviews an automated decision where it has had an adverse effect on you

    Please note that other information you provide, including responses to open questions, may be published in full and attributed to your organisation. Where this happens, your name will not be published.
