The Government has recently pledged £3 billion in funding across the country to help improve bus networks following the publication of their National Bus Strategy (‘Bus Back Better’ https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/bus-back-better). Following this announcement Cornwall Council has committed to collaborate with local bus operators and stakeholders to improve services in the county and increase the number of people using the bus. We are developing a Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), which will outline a vision, targets and measures to improve the bus service in Cornwall. A crucial element in developing the BSIP is gathering the views of stakeholders, to ensure the opportunity to improve the network is maximised for everyone’s best interests.
