We’re writing a plan for how Cornwall will develop over the next 10 - 15 years – which sets out what can be built and where.
The Local Plan brings together data and views to create rules on everything that makes up a place, from what to protect and how buildings are designed to how we get around. It makes better plans for the places we live and work in.
A Local Plan tells the story of what our towns, villages, hamlets and countryside are like now, and what we want them to be like in the future.
To understand what works now and what could be better, we need everyone to have a say in what Cornwall’s future looks like.
We’re at the earliest stage of writing that new plan. This is called ‘scoping the plan’.We have been collecting evidence and opinions to help us to understand how we will write the plan and what it shouldcontain. We now want to hear your opinions on what we’ve found out.
There are a number of documents that we’d like your comments on. You do not have to comment on all of them. They set out:
our draft vision for Cornwall,
Key facts and figures (baseline),
the evidence that we’ve collected across different subjects,
a draft engagement strategy, and
policy ideas
We’d also welcome your views on our site allocations methodology.
