The Time2Move Holiday Programme - Annual Affiliation 2026

The Time2Move Holiday Programme is a vital pillar of support for children and young people in receipt of benefits related free school meals (BRFSM) in Cornwall, dedicated to addressing the inequalities these children and their families face and to being part of the solution that enables them to live happier and healthier lives

We know that The Time2Move Holiday Programme’s strength is the fantastic providers. We are incredibly grateful for the work they do to support the children, young people and families who access the programme.  To ensure the continued quality and consistency of provision across the programme, all providers wishing to deliver Time2Move Holiday Programme activities must submit an annual application to become an affiliated provider.

This application will be scored and only those that meet the predetermined standard will be successful. Please take the time to complete this carefully and utilise the 'Annual Affiliation Guidance' to support you, which you can find on our website - Activity Providers – Active Cornwall.

If you have any questions, please contact the team at Time2Move.HolidayProgramme@cornwall.gov.uk.

What are we looking for in Time2Move Holiday Programme providers?

We want to work with providers who:

  • Understand the need of the children, young people and families in their communities and who will be attending their holiday activity sessions. Providers who undertake regular consultation with parents and carers as well as utilise youth voice activities to inform their offer will have a much greater understanding of the needs and barriers of this audience, and adapt their programme to align with this.
  • Share the Time2Move Holiday Programme's values and purpose; providers who are passionate about addressing the triple inequalities that children and young people in receipt of benefits related free school meals face during the three main school holidays, and who attend our learning events to become more informed and proactive in all aspects of this vision.
  • Provide a fantastic food offer because they understand the importance of food for both mental and physical health. We want to work with providers who don't just stop at meeting the school food standards, we want providers who offer the children and young people who attend their activities the opportunity to learn new skills by participating in the preparation of ingredients and cooking meals.
  • Offer excellent quality fun physical activities for the children and young people who attend their Time2Move Holiday Programme sessions. We love to see unusual and interesting activities, as well as the opportunity for children and young people to learn important life skills such as swimming and cycling.
  • Are embedded within their communities and committed to sustainable support of the children, young people and families who access the Time2Move Holiday Programme. Organisations that undertake wider work and activities within their local area, who provide ongoing opportunities for physical activity and support to children in receipt of free school meals outside of the school holidays, and who are able to offer greater holistic support by way of additional services, signposting and referrals are crucial.
