And removing barriers to make education accessible for everyone.Alex said: The adrenaline kicks in before you’re told if you are elected and I’m just ecstatic and glad I brought my family in for this. I was ecstatic that I got in, but on the other hand I was upset for the people that didn’t.The three candidates who were not elected have expressed interest in the wider roles the Youth Council has to offer and they will be confirming their seats in the coming days!A huge well done to all of the North Cornwall Candidates!

Peter's thoughts on our first Quarterly Meeting
Share Peter's thoughts on our first Quarterly Meeting on Facebook Share Peter's thoughts on our first Quarterly Meeting on Twitter Share Peter's thoughts on our first Quarterly Meeting on Linkedin Email Peter's thoughts on our first Quarterly Meeting linkThe Quarterly meeting was a brilliant exposure for all of us. It gave all of us the practice to be able to sit in the Cornwall Council Chambers with all of their new technology. The best part about it was how similar it was to a full Cornwall Council meeting where they have heated debates. During this meeting we elected a new chair and deputy chair of the Cornwall Youth Council, where all the candidates made excellent speeches. The entire process was very well organised and cut down to the minutes, so the meeting was not longer than it should have been. The Chambers were just like a courtroom with the Chair acting like the judge with a hammer and everything. It was a circular-shaped room with a lo of spinny chairs. They have put new state-of-the-art microphones in so everyone can be heard clearly. The entire meeting was strictly controlled by the chair so if anyone speaks too long they will politely be silenced by the chair. Overall is was a very successful meeting and it was a very god experience.
