Awena (To Inspire) - Cornwall Virtual School
Welcome to our page!
Who We Are:
As you will probably be aware, we are Cornwall Council’s Virtual School for Children in Care (CiC) and Previously Looked After Children (PLAC). You can find all of the statutory information you need on our Cornwall Council web pages.
Our Aim:
We have set up this forum to use as a platform to reach out to all of our children and foster carers. Our aim is to be able to communicate and engage with you more effectively. On this page we will provide you with all of our up to date projects, competitions and events.
We Need Your Help:
We would also like to hear from you. Your voice matters and we would like to hear what you have to say!
Have a look around and let us know what you think! How can we engage more with you? Is there anything you need from us? What would you find beneficial to your education that we could provide?
Is there any training we could provide for you (foster carers on children), that you would find useful? Please let us know (contact details on the right).
Christmas Celebration Postponed:
We were due to hold our Festival of Celebration event this Saturday 11 December at Porthpean Outdoor Centre.
After taking advice from Cornwall Council Health & Safety, Public Health and the concerns around the new Covid variant, we have made the decision to cancel this year’s event.
We were looking forward to everyone coming along and having some festive fun but this year there are just too many risks for us all and we do not want anyone to be poorly over Christmas and the new year festivities.
We are all so disappointed and were looking forward to seeing you all so much!
Our festive message to you all is to take care, keep safe and keep healthy this Christmas time.
Sending a big virtual hug to each and every one of you – Merry Christmas!
