Works to create a new Service Hub by refurbishing existing retail units in White River Place Shopping Centre will be starting on 22 July 2024, with completion dur and doors set to open during Summer 2025.
As an organisation Cornwall Council are looking to do something different with the buildings we deliver services from. We want to create a single space for our customers to access multiple services and meet the needs of the local community.
A review of St Austell and the surrounding area has been carried out and, after considering various options, we have decided to build a new Service Hub. The chosen site in St Austell is White River Place.
The new hub will cater for multiple services including Children and Family, Adult Education, Registrars, as well as providing space for Cornwall Council staff to meet and work.
Development will be part of a wider masterplan for the site and the project will have a role in the regeneration and revitalisation of the town.
We know that the needs of our communities, and the way in which they want to access our buildings have changed, and we want to change with them. For more information you can find the plans on the right-hand side of this page.
