Where the path breathes the sea - by Bridget Betts

Talking about her winning photo, Bridget said:
"Pausing at the gap between this stone wall looking down the coast path towards Polurrian Cove, is like standing on a threshold between land and sea. The path, worn by countless feet, invites you to discover what lies ahead. I have walked this path many times between Poldhu Cove and Mullion, I love the way the view opens out as you begin to make the descent down into the cove. There is always a sense of anticipation, as every time I walk the path it's different, it's a place to connect with nature and the elements, which I experience as both grounding and restorative, a place to reset and gain perspective when I may be feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
This photo captures a moment, the sense of standing on a threshold and invites you to walk through the gap and discover what lies beyond, it draws you forward into the landscape."
