Cornwall residents want to see a cleaner society with less litter and pollution and better protection of the environment - How can we make this happen?

CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

A recent survey of residents conducted by Cornwall Council shows how our communities pulled together during lockdown - and are calling for change.

500 residents of all ages and walks of life took part in the survey. They were asked about the impact of the pandemic on their lives and livelihoods, and about their hopes and fears for the future of Cornwall.

two in three residents said that they now have a greater appreciation of green spaces, countryside paths and beaches for daily exercise. 70% said they experienced cleaner outdoor air.

The results show that only one in ten residents want things to go back to the way they were before the Coronavirus pandemic. When asked what one thing residents would like to see changed once the pandemic is over, a cleaner society with less litter and pollution and better protection of the environment came top of the list. What are your thoughts? How can we make this happen? What steps are you prepared to take?
