Carbon Neutral Cornwall event

The Carbon Neutral Cornwall Hive online event, hosted by Cllr Edwina Hannaford Cabinet Member for Climate Change, introduced the new Crowdfund Cornwall Climate Emergency funds set up to help support low carbon and environmental initiatives.

The online event featured:

• Update on the Carbon Neutral Cornwall Action Plan by Cllr Edwina Hannaford, followed by questions and answers
  
  
• An introduction to the Crowdfunder Cornwall Climate Emergency funds
  by Dawn Bebe co-founder of Crowdfunder
  
  
• Workshops on the new funds and other grants available:
  - Carbon Neutral Cornwall Fund
  - Town and Parish Council and Community Groups Fund
  - Forest for Cornwall Fund
  - Community Infrastructure Levy Fund
  
  
• Videos of some of the great things the Helston Climate Action Group are doing and some existing Crowdfunder projects, and
  
  
• Masterclasses from guest speakers:
  - Colin Hastings of the Carbon Buddy Project
  - John Carley and Steve Leech of the Chacewater Community Energy Group on Action Planning for community groups and town and parish councils
  - Simon Miles of The Forest Garden
  - Rob Stevenson of Beach Guardian
