Cornwall Council are looking to do something different with the buildings we deliver our frontline services from. We want to create a single space for our customers to access multiple services and meet the needs of the local community.

A review of the Liskeard area was carried out and, after considering various options, it was decided to build a new Service Hub.

Service Hubs provide a welcoming environment for the community, and offer easy access to essential services such as the Family Hub, Registrars, Adult Education, Safe and Well, and the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). The new hub will be on the north-west portion of the former Cattle Market site in the Town Centre.

Works on the Service Hub at Liskeard Cattle Market commenced in July 2024 and construction is currently expected to complete in February 2026.

Chi Lyskerrys is the new name for the Liskeard Service Hub. The name is derived from the Cornish language, where “Chi” means “house” and “Lyskerrys,” is the Cornish name for Liskeard.

Latest Update

A road closure of Varley Lane from Monday 21st July to Friday 19th September 2025 is required for the connection of the new Hub to the foul sewer. Details of the road closure and the works, along with contact details, will be provided to local residents, as well as to Liskeard Town Council and the local Cornwall Council Members.

For more information, you can find the plans for the hub on the right-hand side of this page.
