    There are several types of funds and grants available to help get initiatives or schemes off the ground or to develop an existing initiative.

    Here are a few suggestions:

    Cornwall Council's Community Infrastructure Levy Fund (CIL) considers application from £20,000 to £100,000 for infrastructure projects that will help communities achieve low carbon living.

    Cornwall Council’s Community Chest Fund is currently supporting local communities through the corona-virus. When not supporting communities in this way the fund is available for applications for small grants.

    Cornwall Council’s Grants advice service webpage has information about funding for community projects.

    Cornwall Council’s Grow Nature Seed Fund supports projects that will help create more space for nature.

    You could consider crowdfunding options, such as Crowdfunder or JustGiving.

    Cornwall Council, in partnership with Crowdfunder, offers match funding for Crowdfunder projects in Cornwall. There are three funds available: Cornwall Councillor Community Chest fund; Grow Nature Seed Fund; and the Cornwall Social Inclusion Fund for projects tackling social isolation.

    There are several financing options available. Especially around funding for community renewable energy projects. For example:

    If you are looking for support to help you start or develop a project or business you could consider the Cornwall Sustainability Awards. The Sustainability Awards are Cornwall’s leading initiative for rewarding and celebrating enterprises for their contribution to environmental growth and resource efficiency. You may find similar organisations to your own that you could reach out to.

    The Government has tax relief schemes to incentivise environmentally friendly business.
