St Gluvias Update

To: all Parishioners in St Gluvias Parish

 Hello!

St Gluvias Neighbourhood Development Plan – Update

We thought it was high time to write to you all again firstly to update you on our Parish Neighbourhood Development Plan, and secondly to request your help.

Firstly, like many aspects of life, the impact of Covid caused a big disruption to our work plans, meaning our previous ambition to have a Plan finalised and in place for our Parish by this year has inevitably had to be pushed back and rescheduled.  For most of last year it simply hasn’t been feasible to do the things we wanted to do with the Plan and carry out our intended public consultation.  But undeterred we are making progress once again.  Our revised timetable is looking to have a Plan ready for public consultation later this year (Covid permitting), ready for submission to Cornwall Council for their inspection.

We have been working on our Plan now for a couple of years, and you may recall we carried out a Parish-wide survey in 2018 and we wrote to everyone in June 2019 with the results of that survey.  From that we now understand what the priorities are for residents in our Parish.  We are now carrying out more survey work and information gathering to develop the Plan further.

We need your help!  Do you or your family have a housing need?

We know from our survey that one of the concerns from residents is to provide the right housing in the right places to meet our Parish needs, in particular housing that is affordable.  To help us plan for this we need to know more about what the demand for housing is in our Parish.  So to help us plan for your housing needs we would be grateful if you could complete the online Housing Needs Survey by the deadline specified in the accompanying letter. The Survey is completely anonymous and all information is held in accordance with Cornwall Council’s data protection rules.  The information you send us will greatly help us understand housing need in the Parish and will help us develop housing policies.  Please refer to the enclosed letter for full details on accessing and completing the survey and how to request a paper copy if you are unable to complete on-line.

Best wishes to you all in 2021.

 Yours faithfully
