Help us to shape housing and support solutions in Cornwall
Our housing and support solution services are in high demand and we would like your views on how we can support more people to access these sorts of services.
What are housing and support solutions?
These services provide accommodation and support to young people and working age adults aged 16-64. These are also known as Supported Living Services. This includes services for people with needs related to:
- learning disabilities
- autism
- mental health
- drug/alcohol dependency
- and/or other complex needs
Why services need to change
The current contracts for Supportive Lifestyles services and Empowering Independence services will come to an end in 2024.
We want to make sure our future services are able to meet the increasing demand, as well as being fit for purpose, and we want your views to help us do this.
Our vision is to empower vibrant, safe, and inclusive communities in Cornwall, where residents receive the right support at the right place at the right time. We're committed to creating a nurturing environment for children, supporting young people to thrive, and ensuring the well-being of everyone.
We want to hear from you
Service providers
We would like to work more closely with you so that we can identify more opportunities for suitable accommodation, as well as making sure the care and support provided is expanded.
People who use services or who might in the future
If you currently use services, what works well and what doesn't work so well? By knowing this we can shape our future services so that it best meets yours and other's needs.
If your friend or relative uses this service then what do you think works well, and, if you think you might use this service in the future, what sort of service would you like to have available to you?
Give us your views
We will be conducting several surveys throughout September and October to hear your feedback about the housing and support solutions available in Cornwall.
Surveys are open to both members of the public and staff who receive or deliver housing and support services for young people and working age adults.
An easy read version of the survey is available,
The surveys close on 25 October 2023.
