Consultation Survey: Proposed Accommodation Space & Amenity Standards for HMOs used for Temporary and Emergency Accommodation

Cornwall Council is consulting on proposed Accommodation Space & Amenity Standards for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) used as Temporary and Emergency Accommodation. These standards aim to ensure that accommodation provided to homeless households meets a consistent, safe, and appropriate level of accommodation space and amenities.

Your feedback will help us confirm whether these standards are practical, inclusive, and fit for purpose. The results of this consultation will be reviewed by the Council’s and used to shape the final standards. A summary of responses will be published on Let’s Talk Cornwall. If the standards are adopted, they would be implemented on 01 April 2026.
