Book your place A 2-hour introduction to retrofitting your home that will look at the fundamentals of making houses more thermally and energy efficient, comfortable and less polluting. This course will cover the steps to retrofitting your home and it will explore the funding available for domestic retrofit.

Book your place Whatever your skill set, you’re invited to join a fully funded one day taster course in this essential trade. The day is led by an industry specialist with years of experience and participants will learn the fundamentals as way of an introduction to EWI (External Wall Insulation). This is a practical course during which you will get to apply EWI panels, mesh and render. You will also learn some key points of theory.

Truro & Penwith College fully funded Skills Bootcamp in EV Maintenance, 14 January-19 March 2026, Truro Campus, Truro. Book your place The Skills Bootcamp in EV Maintenance is a nine-week course designed to upskill individuals with existing professional or educational expertise within the Automotive sector, or those responsible for vehicle fleets within organisations transitioning to electric and hybrid technology, with the skills needed to service and maintain these vehicles.
Thanks to funding from the Department for Education, there is no charge for individuals looking to re-train or upskill. SME employers will only need to pay 10% of the course fee if they enrol a member of staff (£236), whilst large organisations will be asked to contribute 30% (£707).

Learners will explore the principles of domestic retrofit, carbon literacy and the critical role of energy efficiency in tackling climate change, whilst gaining practical experience in areas such as solar installation, external wall insulation and renewable heating solutions, including heat pumps.
