There are many exciting events and funded courses happening in-person across Cornwall, and online, that will support you in gaining the knowledge and skills to respond effectively to the climate and ecological crises we're facing. Many of those listed below are included in our bi-monthly newsletter.


What's On – 2026

  • People’s Emergency Briefing screenings are being held across Cornwall. Find your nearest event
    The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing, held in Westminster in November 2025, where experts and concerned citizens called for stronger UK action on the climate and nature crisis. Local groups are hosting community based, supportive conversations around the film, and invite residents and other representatives to attend.

  • Royal Cornwall Show, 4-6 June 2026, the Royal Cornwall Events Centre, Whitecross, Wadebridge. Book your tickets

  • St Austell Library are holding a Community Eco Drop-in, 10:00-14:00 on 5 June 2026. For more information email staustell.library@liscornwall.org.uk
    Join for a community-led awareness day and learn about sustainability challenges from local and national organisations. Discover how you can help maintain a circular economy and visit the plant-swap stall. Refreshments available and all welcome.

  • Climate Action St Austell is hosting a screening and discussion of People's Emergency Briefing: Climate & Nature Crisis, 15:00 on 6 June 2026, Holy Trinity Church, St Austell. Contact John Hubbard to book your place
    Join this screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film based on the National Emergency Briefing - bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters. Explore what's happening with climate and nature, and what it means for everyday life in the UK. Includes refreshments to start and discussion of the film after screening.

  • RJ Working's Introduction to Restorative Practice online training, 09:00-16:00 on 18 June. Book your place
    This multi-agency 1 day training offers a valuable opportunity to work with others and consider the relevance of Restorative Practice for your role and workplace. This foundation training leads onto a 2-day Restorative Facilitation training, and 1-day training options: Tackling Racism & Tackling Climate Change.

  • Growing your own resilience: Herbal leys, 10:30-13:00 on 25 June 2026, Lesquite Farm, Looe PL13 2QE. Book your place
    Join Soil Association’s senior soil advisor Jerry Alford at Tom and Nicola Tolputt's farm to look at herbal leys. They’ll be discussing productivity, soil fertility, livestock health, the financials, profitability and more, as well as looking at seed mixes and a range of management strategies used to produce forage for livestock. Tom is founder of Terrafarmer, working with farmers to build soil health and resilience around the UK. It's a free event, all welcome, and lunch included.

  • Cornwall Climate Action Coalition are hosting their next Community Conversation about Cornwall's energy, 10:00-13:00 on 27 June 2026, St John’s Methodist Church, Bodmin Road, St Austell. Get in touch to book your place
    The conversations are a space to discuss how reducing Cornwall's use of fossil fuels will impact different parts of our lives. Topics span from how we travel locally, how we heat and renovate our homes, what energy powers Cornwall, the skills and trades Cornwall has (and what it doesn't) – importantly, it’s the issues and experiences that are important to you that are discussed.

  • Community Energy in Cornwall & Scilly Networking Event, 13:00-18:00 on 1 July 2026, Wadebridge Town Hall. Book your place
    This event will bring together community organisations, groups, and partners interested in local energy projects across Cornwall.


    You’ll have the chance to:

    • Hear the latest updates from South West Net Zero Hub and Cornwall Council
    • Connect with others working in community energy
    • Take part in open discussions and an interactive workshop exploring real project examples

  • The Third Great Cornish Green Energy Summit, 11:00-16:00 on 13 September 2026, Chacewater Village Hall. Book your place
    To highlight Cornwall’s unique position as a lead in all areas of renewable energy and promote integration into the plans for the roll out of GB Energy. Meet the movers and shakers of green energy in Cornwall.
