About this survey
Cornwall Council is developing a new Youth Strategy to help make Cornwall a place where all young people can grow up happy, healthy, and able to succeed, no matter where they live. This work complements wider initiatives, including the Local Youth Pilot Programme, which is helping to shape support and opportunities for young people across Cornwall. The strategy focuses on improving schools, support services, mental health and wellbeing, and ensuring young people can access the opportunities they need.
To support this work, we have carried out a needs assessment using data, feedback from young people, and input from organisations across Cornwall. This has helped us understand current support and where there may be gaps.
We have found that there is a strong and committed youth sector, but support is not always consistent and can be under pressure, particularly in rural and coastal areas.
Why your input matters
We are now asking for your feedback to help us check and improve these findings. Your insights will help us understand:
How well these challenges reflect what is happening now
What has changed over time
What might be missing or needs more attention
What should be prioritised in the new Youth Strategy
Please share your views
We would also really appreciate you sharing this survey with your networks so we can hear from a wide range of people.
Your feedback will directly shape the Cornwall Youth Strategy, helping ensure it reflects the real needs of young people and those who support them.
Thank you for taking the time to share your views.
