Cornwall Mining WHS - Commissioning Briefs

The Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site (CMWHS) encompasses nearly 20,000 hectares across 10 Areas of Cornwall and West Devon, making it a Serial Site. In order to help protect and promote the Site, we have a published Management Plan which details the Areas of the site, policies and strategic actions the team undertake to maintain its UNESCO inscription.

Our current Management Plan comes to an end in 2025 and we are defining what the next 5 years will look like which will address conservation and transmission (access) of the Site and this 5-year time period encompasses our 20th anniversary of inscription in 2026.

We’re seeking a fresh collection of photographs to feature in our upcoming Management Plan and other materials, along with a short film that captures the essence of the Site and highlights its unique qualities.

Full details can be found in the briefs, and the deadline for submissions is midnight, 27 July 2025.
