We are planning to remove the deceleration lane/slip on the approach to Cooksland/Launceston Road junction.
What are we consulting on?
The work carried out will be taking the deceleration lane out with bolt down rubber kerbing with bollards and the repositioning and changing existing signage.
The existing carriageway, kerbing & drainage won't be changed at this time.
Why are we doing this?
We are carrying out these works at the junction as road safety concerns have been raised by a local member due to a number of collisions at the location.
We hope that this temporary work will address these issues until a more permanent solution can be found.
