  • Following the popular Locality Provider Postcode Optimisation Workshops, and further discussion through the Home Care steering group, there has been an ask for individual access to a visual representation of the current unmet demand in particular areas.  Because of various information governance issues, we are only able to share this information via encrypted email with current DPS providers.   The most common way to do this is via an NHS.net email address.

If you would like to receive a ‘GIS map’ of a particular postcode to help with your new package reviews – please complete the request form below:

If your organisation doesn’t have an NHS.net email address you can request it via the Digital Social Care website NHSmail web pages.  It is part of a ‘Better Security, Better Care national and local support programme’, funded by NHSX, to help adult social care providers to store and share information safely. The programme will help providers to evaluate and improve data and cyber security which helps to evidence to commissioners and regulators that they are following good practice – and meeting legal and regulatory requirements. The main focus of the Better Security, Better Care programme is to support providers to engage with and complete an annual, online self-assessment using the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) which has recently released a revised adult social care specific version.
