Saltash, Trerulefoot: Bus Stop and new footway
We are planning to build three areas of new footway in Trerulefoot to make it easier for people using the bus.
What are we consulting on?
We are proposing to install three areas of new footway in Trerulefoot on the existing verges allowing pedestrians easier access to bus services in all directions.
One footway waiting area will be placed on the side just north of the junction to Kernow Mill and will include a new bus stop sign post.
On the opposite side to the Kernow Mill junction there will be two footway areas: one directly opposite the proposed Kernow Mill junction stop, creating a natural crossing point and another next to the existing lamp post north of the entrance to Dave’s Sheds.
Why are we doing this?
These locations were highlighted by the local bus operator after being raised by a nearby business for upgrade and improvement.
These changes are aimed at making the bus stops more accessible for passengers. Currently, there is no defined crossing point, and they must either stand on the verges or block the footway whilst awaiting a bus.
