Being active is a vital component of staying healthy. It can improve mental health and reduces the risk of physical health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity.
The pandemic restrictions have resulted in the closure of gyms and indoor leisure facilities and it also placed restrictions on the amount of outdoors exercise you could do. For some this had a negative impact with reduction in their physical activity, however for others the amount they were active increased.
The pandemic may have affected many of our behaviours that keep us healthy, including our diet, smoking, alcohol intake and exercise levels. Have you taken up new hobbies that have improved your wellbeing, or managed to kick that unhealthy habit? Or has the added stress of the pandemic made it more difficult for you to stay healthy?
We want to hear about the positive changes that you have made during the pandemic and what has helped you make them? Or if things haven’t gone to plan, what would help you in future with having a healthier lifestyle?
