Dear Parent/Carer,

SPACE- Supporting Parents and Children Emotionally

The purpose of this questionnaire is to capture the views and experiences of parents/carers who undertake the SPACE programme, particularly in respect of their thoughts and feelings and confidence on supporting both themselves and their children’s emotional health and wellbeing (and challenges associated with this).

With your permission, we will ask you to complete this questionnaire at the start of the programme, along with the parent self-efficacy scale, and complete both again at the end of the programme to find out whether anything has changed. Where appropriate we may also ask you to compete the questionnaire again sometime after the programme has finished (approximately 3 or 6 months after) to further measure the long term impact and effectiveness of the programme in supporting parents/carers to achieve lasting change in their approach to parenting.

Your response is important to us as it will form part of the wider evaluation of the SPACE programme and help us to better understand how the programme may be helping parents/carers and their children. It will also enable us to gauge the effectiveness of SPACE and whether or not it is having a positive impact.

This questionnaire has 10 questions and should take around 10 minutes to complete.

We would like to reassure you that all of your answers will be treated as confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of the SPACE programme evaluation team in nor presented in any way which might identify you.
