Sustrans is working with Cornwall Council to develop a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) for Wadebridge, Padstow and the surrounding areas.
The LCWIP is a local plan that seeks to connect people and places across the area with safe and accessible routes for everyone. This will feed directly into Cornwall Council's transport plan and help them prioritise investment in the area. Visit the Cornwall Council website to find out more about LCWIPs in Cornwall.
In July this year, we held some preliminary in-person workshops and we ran an online consultation tool to help us understand where people in the area wanted to walk and cycle. We used the information gathered through this process to design a draft walking and cycling network which is shown on this map.
Now, we need your feedback again on the draft walking and cycling network. Which routes are important to you for improving your or your families’ journeys? Which routes should Cornwall council prioritise?
You can provide feedback in two ways:
By dropping-in to one of our 2 public engagement events on the 16th and/or 17th October. See posters for more details.
By commenting via the sustrans online map below, which will be open until Sunday 29th October at midnight:
We look forward to working with you to create a safe transport plan.
