We are proposing to improve the pedestrian crossings on Henver Road .

What are we consulting on?

The objective of the project is to improve pedestrian access to the existing bus stops on Henver Road by providing a safe crossing point near the junction with Church Street. This will also enhance connectivity to Nansledan and the school.

Why are we doing this?

This is to complement existing facilities in the vicinity, along with an uncontrolled crossing point on Church Street closer to the junction with Henver Road.

As a result of this assessment process, a Puffin crossing (traffic signal-controlled) is proposed on Henver Road to the east of the junction with Church Street (next to Warrens bakery). This location has been identified as the most suitable, as the western side is constrained by reduced visibility, limited space for vehicle manoeuvring, the presence of existing driveways, greater utility impacts, and its proximity to an existing crossing.
