Newquay Futures - Opportunity Sites across Town

We have heard a lot about how the town centre could be improved by replacing/ repairing the public realm and by bringing in new uses that are missing today for some buildings - affordable homes, community/cultural space and workspaces.

Opportunity sites have been identified that could be improved/changed in use. This is not about demolishing buildings but about unlocking potential.

Our initial considerations include the following opportunity areas and we would like your thoughts and input as we consider each separately

1. The Harbour.
2. Fore Street Car Park, The Bowling Green, Beach Road Open Space, Walkabout and Towan Promenade.
3. Sainsbury's area.
4. Manor Road Bus Station and St George's Road Car Park.
5. Town Council Offices, TIC, Library and Manor Road Car Park.
6. Hotel Victoria, Post Office, Griffin Inn, TramTracks and the Old Beachcroft Hotel.
7. Station Quarter, Cliff Road and Tor Road.
8. Central Square and Bank Street .
9. Other areas that you think we should be looking at.

Changes at any one of these sites has the potential to make a big change to the look and feel of the town centre.
