Brilliant Bug Hotel Built By Beavers

On Monday 23rd the MS4N team and our Urban Ranger were joined by the Beavers of 1st Newquay Scout Group at Listry Road recreation ground to build a bug hotel. These fantastic structures are a great place for all sorts of insects, reptiles, amphibians and small mammals to make their homes in, and they are a great addition to the MS4N sites.

The Beavers had a great time on our bug hunt and were running all over the park to find pictures of and answer questions about our native wildlife.

It was a fantastic afternoon and the finished bug hotel looked amazing. The Beavers all worked really hard and did a really great job. As everyone admired their work at the end of the day a few bees were spotted already checking out the new five star insect hotel.
