We are planning to reduce the speed limit to 40mph on the A393 at Treviskey, Lanner.

What are we consulting on?

The existing 50mph speed limit at Treviskey, Lanner is proposed to be replaced with a 40mph speed limit over the same extents.

Why are we doing this?

Following various changes to the highway, recorded speeds in this location have seen a reduction. Therefore, Cornwall Council would like to amend the speed limit to bring this in line with the driven speeds.

It is considered that reducing the speed limit may result in a further reduction throughout this stretch of carriageway. It is also expected that this will result in improved compliance of the 20mph speed limit within Lanner, due to lower approach speeds. The aim is to improve road safety for all road users, including pedestrians and cyclists.
