Go Digital not Stir Crazy

As a micro business and sole trader I am totally reliant on the craft fairs I attend and workshops that I run. Having spent a couple of months restocking ready for the Spring season to commence, Covid-19 came along and that was the end of that.

Well at least one of the benefits of being so small is the ability to adapt. So the Managing Director got together with the Marketing Director, Head of Finance and Chief Designer and I had a conversation with myself.

We were all in agreement that digital was the way forward. I spent several weeks re-making one of my products which had been extremely popular at the fairs and sold just before Christmas.

This time I photographed every step, making notes, measuring and weighing the materials I was using. Marketing created and released an animation on social media in felting circles to whet consumer appetites.

Finally my feltorial was ready and I launched it at an introductory price to my students via my monthly newsletter. It's now one of my most popular products available on my website and Etsy as a digital download and I don't need to lift a tentacle.
