We propose to build new sections of footway within existing roadside verges to help people safely access local bus services near Retanna Holiday Park.
What are we consulting on?
North:
A new footway will be provided to create a bus waiting area for eastbound services near the junction. The footway will then continue through the verge to an informal crossing point, allowing people to cross the road and reach a new bus waiting area for westbound services.
South:
We propose to build a new section of footway within the roadside verge. This will connect the crossing point to a new westbound bus waiting area, which will be located at the existing lay-by to the east.
Why are we doing this?
This area has been identified by Cornwall Council as part of their programme of upgrading bus stops across Cornwall to make public transport more user friendly.
Currently, passengers are walking across verges to access bus services.
Next steps.
