In order to make good decisions about how Cornwall changes in the future we need to understand its past.

Heritage at the Heart of an Evolving Cornwall: A Strategy for Cornwall’s Historic Environment (2022 - 2030) was formally adopted by Cornwall Council on the 11th of May 2022

This strategy looks at Cornwall’s landscape, buildings and environment so that we can plan effectively for the future. This is especially important when it comes to the Climate Emergency and reversing the decline in wildlife.

This strategy has been developed in partnership with Bord Ertach Kernow.

A public consultation took place prior to the Strategy's formal adoption. All comments were read and where appropriate changes were made. Thank you to those who offered possible case studies and examples of best practice. These will all be considered and may be included in future revisions.
