Helston, Monument Road and Meneage Street: Town Gateways.
Improvements to entrances to Helston Town Centre at Meneage Street and and Monument Road
What are we consulting on?
We are seeking public feedback on proposed improvements to the entrances of Helston Town Centre at Meneage Street and Monument Road. The plans include clearer signage, wider pavements in key areas, new zebra crossings, improved landscaping, flat-top speed humps, and expanded traffic islands. These changes aim to make it easier and safer for people to walk and cycle into the town centre.
Why are we doing this?
The main goal is to improve the appearance and accessibility of the town centre entrances, while encouraging walking, cycling, and other forms of active travel. The proposals also aim to make crossing the road safer for everyone.
This project began with a feasibility study to explore ways to improve the gateway areas at Meneage Street and Monument Road. Based on the findings, we will move forward with plans to deliver these improvements on site.

In addition to the online consultation we are holding a public exhibition of the proposals at:
