The Faraday Challenge Day at Helston!

Wow, what a fantastic first Faraday Challenge Day!

EBP are proud to act as a delivery partner for the IET Faraday Challenge, helping bring this fantastic initiative to schools across the county. Our role is to facilitate the smooth delivery of these events, ensuring that students have the resources and guidance they need to get the most out of the experience. The partnership between The Education Business Partnership and IET ensures that local students have access to national opportunities that encourage both educational and personal growth.

Our Faraday Leader, George Slater, and his STEM support assistant, Gavin Beresford, kicked off the new season at Helston Community College. During the event, students were challenged to think critically and apply their understanding of STEM to overcome complex problems. This not only deepened their knowledge of engineering principles but also gave them the opportunity to learn the importance of collaboration, leadership, and forward-thinking. George, who is an engineer himself, offered all students a unique platform to experience the excitement and relevance of STEM in everyday life while exploring potential career paths in engineering and technology.

We were very fortunate to have our first event of the season hosted at Helston Community College. The enthusiasm and engagement from both pupils and staff were truly inspiring. This event marked a great start to the IET Faraday Challenge in Cornwall, and we look forward to continuing to support young people as they develop their skills and passion for STEM through future events.

Finally, a huge congratulations to Cape Cornwall who were the winning team on the day and go through to the next round.
