A decision will be made in due course as to whether to proceed with the proposals, amend them or abandon them. Following this, respondents will be notified of the outcome.
What are we consulting on?
We would like to hear your views on some planned changes to widen and regrade the existing footway on Killigrew Street in the vicinity of the the bus shelter outside No's 130-133.
Why are we doing this?
There are a number of trees located within the footway at this location with Tree Protection Orders (TPO's). The roots from these trees have caused damage to the adjacent kerbing and carriageway. In order to protect the trees and preserve the historic look of the area it is proposed to widen the footway, raising the level of the existing carriageway to provide more protection to the roots.
