ECO4 medical referrals

Your practice has been identified through Cornwall Council/Inclusion Cornwall database as having previously made referrals to the Energy Company Obligation 4 (ECO4) scheme.

This scheme enables patients with specific medical conditions, who are considered vulnerable to the effects of living in a cold home, to be referred for measures to improve home insulation and heating.

We are keen to encourage more GP practices across Cornwall and Isles of Scilly to refer into this scheme and therefore are asking for your feedback on the referral process.

As a reminder, we have agreed with Kernow Local Medical Committee “that any work undertaken by general practice to complete a letter under this scheme is chargeable under collaborative fee agreements” and a standard fee of £35 can be charged per letter by each practice.

We would be grateful if you could share this questionnaire with the GPs in your practice, which should take <5 minutes to complete.
