Thank you to the organisations, STEM Ambassadors, employers and employees invited into Torpoint Community College to work with year 9 students on Wednesday 11th December. Year 9 students completed a speed networking session in the morning; working in small groups to talk to each visitor and find out about the sector or future pathway they were representing. Students had prepared for the event in tutor time, considering the types of questions to ask. Year 9 students are about to choose their option choices and so this is an important time to start considering future careers and pathways.
In P.5 parents and all students were invited to register to attend so that parents could also come and speak to the representatives present. Thank you to parents for supporting this.

Conducting Year 11 mock interviews atTorpoint Community Collegewas an enriching experience. It was a pleasure to engage with such bright and enthusiastic students who are on the brink of their career journeys. The process not only allowed them to practice essential interview skills but also gave me the opportunity to share insights and provide guidance that could help them in the future. A heartfelt thank you toDavina Brayfor inviting me to be a part of this valuable initiative. It's inspiring to see the dedication and effort put into preparing young minds for their next steps in life. Looking forward to more such opportunities to contribute to the community!
