Discover Your Future in Cornish Heritage! Careers in Heritage Day at Pendennis Castle

Bord Ertach Kernow/Cornish Heritage Board, in partnership with English Heritage, is thrilled to announce the return of the Cornish Heritage EXPO/EXPO Ertach Kernow! This year, our event theme is heritage conservation work, and we're excited to showcase the diverse heritage sector in Cornwall.

Free Careers in Heritage Day: Friday, 3 October , 2025 | 10 AM - 5 PM

We invite secondary schools, colleges, and universities to bring student groups to our dedicated Careers in Heritage Day. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore a wide range of opportunities in Cornish heritage, including:

  • Jobs
  • Work Experience
  • Volunteering
  • Training
  • Apprenticeships


Many exhibitors will offer interactive, engaging activities and entertaining live demonstrations to immerse visitors in the world of heritage conservation.

When you register, please provide the following information:

  • Number of pupils
  • Year Group
  • Estimated number of accompanying staff
  • Expected mode of transport
  • Estimated arrival and departure times


Travel Bursaries Available

We're delighted to confirm that the Cornwall Heritage Trust will support the EXPO and extend their travel bursary program to secondary schools for this event. While there's a limited Funds, schools can receive a percentage of their transport costs funded depending on demand. Schools can apply through the grant form on the CHT website: Cornwall Heritage Trust ~ Preserving Cornwall's Story
