Help lead nature recovery across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Local Nature Partnership (LNP) is seeking a dynamic, passionate Chair to lead the delivery of the region’s Nature Recovery Strategy. With just five years to work towards our ambition that 30% of land, rivers and seas are well managed for nature by 2030, this is a unique opportunity to create change across public, private and voluntary sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead our partnership in supporting delivery of the Nature Recovery Strategy
- Champion nature recovery at local, regional and national levels
- Facilitate cross-sector collaboration and secure funding for large-scale projects
- Represent the LNP on the CIoS Leadership Board and engage with strategic partners
- Support initiatives in marine recovery and sustainable farming
Who we are looking for:
An experienced leader with:
- Proven ability to chair high-profile boards or committees
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, planning, climate and renewable energy
- A track record of attracting public and private finance
Commitment & Remuneration:
The successful candidate will be required to commit a minimum of two days per week, although the precise nature and timing of this commitment can be agreed. Remuneration rate for this role is £20,000 per annum and the term of appointment is three years, with the possibility of serving two terms.
