Decision Following Consultation?

Overall, there was a mixture of responses to the proposals, with some support and some objections. All comments received were considered carefully before the final decision was made. A summary of the decision for each of the proposals is given below.

SN06 – Church Street and Leader Road, St Columb Minor: The proposal sought to extend double yellow lines in order to ensure that no inconsiderate parking would take place which would obstruct the flow of traffic and manoeuvring for busses. Objections were received to the loss of on-street parking. The views have been taken into consideration, and it has been agreed to reduce the extent of the double yellow lines along Church Road to minimise the loss of parking whist still improving bus access. Please see SN06_S01 for details.

SN07 – St Francis Road, St Columb Road: The proposals sought additional double yellow lines and changes to bus stop markings. Objections received were focussed on the loss of parking from the proposals. The concerns raised were taken into consideration and it was agreed to an amendment to the design where the existing bus stop clearway markings would be extended on its western side towards the Clodan Mews junction but reduced at its eastern end to provide additional parking outside the Co-op. Please see SN07_S01 for details.

SN08 – Tehidy Road, Tywardreath: The proposal sought to formalise the current bus stops and prevent inappropriate parking. Objections were received due to the loss of on-street parking. The views raised have been taken into consideration and it has been agreed to reduce the extent of double yellow lines outside the Church. Please refer to SN08_S02 for details.

The plan includes introducing new road markings at bus stops and implementing parking regulations to prevent vehicles from obstructing these areas. These measures aim to ensure smoother bus operations and provide passengers with safer and more convenient access to bus services.
