Driving in the dark: tell us what makes it harder
The clocks have gone back and the evenings are dark again. For many people, that changes how they get around.
If you are over 60 and drive in Cornwall, we want to hear from you. This short survey asks what makes driving in the dark harder for you, and whether it stops you doing the things you enjoy.
Why we are asking
Seeing friends, going to clubs and getting out in the evening all matter for living well as we get older. If driving after dark is putting people off, we want to know what is getting in the way and what would help.
This is not about stopping anyone from driving. It is about making the dark easier to drive in.
Who is running it
Age Friendly Cornwall is running this survey with Cornwall Council’s Transport team for Road Safety Week, 15 to 21 November 2026. Getting around and taking part in community life are 2 key parts of the World Health Organisation’s Age Friendly Communities approach, which Age Friendly Cornwall follows.
What you need to know
It takes about 3 minutes
We will not ask your name
The survey is open until 30 November 2026
You can ask for a paper copy, or call [number] and we will fill it in with you
