    apendix crisis

by VIn, over 3 years ago

My son was taken ill with appendicitis during the lockdown and had to call NHS111 for help. They sent an ambulance and took him in to hospital at Treliske where they looked after him very well while they removed his appendix.

    Cheerful Postie!

by Jules Jonklaas, over 3 years ago

Our postwoman in Polgooth, I think her name is Sharon, has gone above and beyond when delivering the post by cheering us all up wearing a different fancy dress every day. She is always friendly and cheerful and positive, and makes getting a mail delivery a very enjoyable experience! I think she deserves recognition for what she has tried to do and for her good humour and resilience in these difficult times.

    Manager at Tregolls Lodge

by Donna W, over 3 years ago

My mum has lived at Tregolls Lodge for a couple of years and really loves it there. During lockdown she had a medical emergency and called the manager of Tregolls Lodge (Cheryl) for help and that help was immediate as it always is.

Cheryl has also overseen lockdown amongst the residents with them not allowed to use communal areas until recently and all of them have stayed safe, which given that many are very elderly is incredible.

    Thanks so much Cheryl.

    Anna - a wonderful person

by I've Got Great Neighbours, over 3 years ago

Anna is my neighbour, her help to many over the last months has been splendid, making cakes and meals for our community, cake and face masks for the local surgery and being a energetic individual who has kept all our spirits high.

Thank you Anna from all at Trythance, St Keverne.

We live in Trelowth and our wonderful post lady Sharon has worn a different costume everyday when delivering our post.

She has raised everyone’s spirits with her fantastic costumes and happy smile which has been so helpful to people isolating.

Thank you Sharon. You’re my hero.

    Downderry Stores

by Swallow, almost 4 years ago

I am currently shielding, and I would like to say a huge thank you, to Richard and Kim, and all of their staff, and volunteers, at the Downderry Stores. They have been protective, supportive, and wonderful in their efforts to keep their staff and the local community safe. In the providing of groceries and collection of prescriptions, for those who are unable to do so themselves, it has eased the stresses and strains for people, within these extraordinary times. Thank You!

    Looking after the oldies

by Eileen, almost 4 years ago

Living in an Abbeyfield home just outside Falmouth, my fellow residents and I rely heavily on the kind and caring staff who help look after us. During this crisis they have gone above and beyond what we could have expected of them. We really cannot thank them enough, not just for providing us with hot meals but for their emotional support too in what could have been a totally depressing time but for them. Bless you - Elaine, Kryssie, Pam and Debbie.

    Life Savers

by GillRob, almost 4 years ago

My husband & I were rather anxious about going shopping and we messed up trying to shop online. We have a local allotment group so I put a call out on the social media page for help. Thank you to Victoria & Nicole who came to our aid getting our few essentials. Vic even bought us an Easter egg each!

Thanks also to our neighbours, Emily & Neil for their kindness.

Brilliant village community here in Goldsithney!
