Welcome to the your Oracle Cloud Manager Self-Service pilot. From 16th November 2020, managers within Customer and Support Services and the Neighbourhoods and Public Protection service were given new and enhanced functionality within Oracle Cloud.

Check out the right-hand side of this page where you can find key dates, guidance and regularly updated information to help keep you informed. Our How-to Guides section covers each new manager function including how, when and why you will need to use each one.

In this pilot, managers will be able to do the following for staff below them within their structure:

  • Changing their working location
  • Changing the number of hours worked
  • Promoting someone (career grade or Job Evaluation progression)
  • Changing their manager
  • Changing their salary within grade range
  • Adding an acting up payment (honorarium) or any additional duties payments

Our 'When will I use Manager Self-Service' guide outlines all the situations you will need to use this new functionality.

Your feedback will be key to understanding the success of this pilot. We are asking managers to complete the survey below when they complete one of the functions. This will help us understand whether our system, processes and support are fit for purpose and ready for the wider organisation

Below, you will find multiple tools to feedback, learn from one another and get your questions answered by the team:

SURVEY - Help us learn from the pilot by telling us what you did and didn't like

YOUR QUESTIONS - Ask your burning questions about the pilot and find frequently asked questions from other managers

During a meeting this morning with our team about MSS Pilot as Pilot Champion. One of the team said that various requests go straight to payroll for authorisation. Can you confirm which requests these would be please so I can update our team.

Linda Phillips asked over 3 years ago

The only thing that goes directly to payroll is the Work Schedule changes.
